Privacy Policy

GlowzEra ("we", "us") is based in Australia. This policy explains what we collect in the GlowzEra app, why, and your choices. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Account details: your first name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us your name and either your email or a private relay address that hides your real email.
- About you (you choose what to add): your age, which side of the app you use (women's or men's), height, weight, body fat or tape measurements, goals, fitness level, equipment, injuries or sore areas, and, on the women's side only, pregnancy or breastfeeding status if you choose to share it.
- Your training: workout plans, sets, reps, weights, personal bests, cardio, stretches and weekly check-in weigh-ins.
- Food and water: meals, calories, macros and water you log, and the targets you set.
- Runs and walks: when you start a run or walk, we use your phone's location to map your route, distance and pace. Location is only used while you're tracking, never in the background when you're not.
- Camera: only when you choose to scan a food barcode. We don't save photos.
- Feedback: anything you send us through the app's feedback form.
Why we use it
Only to run the app for you: to build your plan, work out your food targets, track your progress and runs, keep your data safe if you change phones, and reply to feedback. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising. There are no ads in GlowzEra.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored in your private account with our database provider, Supabase. It is protected by encryption in transit and access rules so only you can see your data. When you search for a food, the search words (not your personal details) are sent to Open Food Facts, a free public food database. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple.
Health information
Weight, body measurements, injuries and pregnancy status are health information. We only use it to give you your plan and targets, never for marketing, and we never store it in iCloud or share it with third parties for their own use.
Age
GlowzEra is for people aged 16 and over. Users aged 16–17 get targets set for fuelling training and growth, not weight loss.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your details any time in the app.
- Download your data from Profile → Privacy & data.
- Hide calorie numbers or skip weight entirely.
- Delete your account: Profile → Privacy & data → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and all your data from our systems.
- Ask us to access or correct your information, or make a complaint, by emailing support@glowzera.site. If you're not happy with our reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you delete your account, your data is deleted. Backups roll over and are cleared within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app for any big changes.
